Architectural detail: Glass wall next to stairs

The space under the stairs hasn't been so interesting since Harry Potter!  Yesterday I wrote a post about drawers under the stairs.  Today's post will be about this glass wall that brings light to the basement stairway.  It looks good, it's functional, and, of course, it give maximum exposure to that expensive marble.

This is how I think the glass was detailed at the bottom.*
