Organization: Unnecessary flow chart

I recently started reading Getting Things Done by David Allen.  I only heard about it recently, but when I looked it up online it was evident that a lot of people are really devoted to this system.  I'm not really sure how to apply it to my life yet.  I don't like that it relies on using so much paper.  Especially when most of my notes, lists, etc are digital and it would be such a waste to print it all out.

Anyway, while I'm searching for a way to implement the system digitally, I thought I would try one of its suggestions. I decided to try creating 'action items' out of my to-do list.  That, weirdly, led me to create this completely unnecessary and banal flow chart to deal with the deteriorating seal around the garage light.

Even though I wasted several minutes created this, I feel like I accomplished something just not what I meant to accomplish.  Maybe I need to finish reading the book.
