Architectural detail: Behind the barn door

[What's behind the door?]

I really love barn doors.   But one thing I noticed is you need a lot of wall space next to the opening to use a barn door.  When I look around the house, I barely have any free wall space.  It either has furniture in front of it, there's a window, or there's artwork.

Anyway, supposing there is room for a barn door, I thought it would be nice to paint a bright contrast color behind the panel.
